LEOnidas
Platform Features

Every tool Texas law enforcement needs in the field.

LEOnidas combines criminal law analysis, field documentation, procedural warning records, and exportable reporting in one mobile-first platform built for Texas agency deployment.

⚖️
Criminal Law Case Analysis

Structured offense analysis from scenario facts.

Officers enter a sanitized description of the facts they have observed. LEOnidas analyzes those facts against Texas criminal statutes and case law to return a structured breakdown of possible offenses — organized, ranked by factual support, and ready to guide the investigation.

Possible offense identification — ranked by strength of factual support, not just citation availability. All offenses supported by the facts are listed, not just the most obvious one.
Elements to establish — each offense lists the specific elements required to support it, grouped by offense name.
Investigative questions — structured follow-up questions keyed to each offense, helping officers identify what still needs to be determined in the field.
Texas statute citations — retrieved from Texas Legislature Online. Official statute links included. FindLaw references included for readability.
Relevant Texas case law — retrieved from CourtListener federal case records. Supports contextual understanding of how statutes have been interpreted.
Follow-up entries — as new facts develop, officers can add follow-up scenario entries to the same case. All entries are linked under one case number and displayed in a unified case view.
Multi-suspect and enhancement reasoning — party liability notes and offense grading or enhancement notes are included where supported by the facts.
Important: Analysis is for investigative support only. Results are not legal advice, do not establish probable cause, and should not replace officer judgment, department policy, or consultation with a prosecutor or legal counsel.

SFST / DWI Worksheet

Complete field sobriety documentation in one workflow.

The SFST module walks officers through Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk-and-Turn, and One-Leg-Stand documentation with structured clue tracking, auto-calculated totals, and decision-point references — all linked to a case number.

HGN — Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus — left and right eye checkbox grid for all three clue types (Lack of Smooth Pursuit, Distinct Nystagmus at Maximum Deviation, Onset Prior to 45°). Auto-totals with decision-point reference at 4 of 6 clues.
WAT — Walk-and-Turn — eight clue checkboxes including balance, timing, heel-to-toe, arm use, and improper turn. Decision-point reference at 2 of 8 clues.
OLS — One-Leg Stand — four clue checkboxes including sway, arm use, hopping, and foot down. Decision-point reference at 2 of 4 clues.
Auto-save — every checkbox toggle saves immediately in the background. Officers can close the app mid-test and return without losing data.
Case number linkage — entering a case number automatically links the SFST worksheet to a matching case in the platform, connecting documentation across the investigation.
Edit from summary — after completing all three tests, officers can return to any test from the summary screen to correct observations before exporting.
Closeout and immutability — completed worksheets can be closed by the officer. Closed worksheets are fully locked. Department admins and owners can reopen if needed.
📋
DIC-24 Statutory Warning

Texas implied consent warning — read or played aloud, documented automatically.

The DIC-24 module presents the Texas Transportation Code §724.015 statutory implied consent warning in English and Spanish. Officers can read along or play the warning aloud using text-to-speech. Language selection and acknowledgment timestamp are recorded automatically on the associated SFST worksheet.

Bilingual text — full English and Spanish versions of Texas §724.015. Language toggle switches between them instantly.
Text-to-speech audio — Play and Stop controls on both iOS and Android. Pause/Resume supported on iOS. Uses the system default voice for the selected language.
Automatic timestamp recording — when the officer taps Done, the selected language (dic24_language) and the acknowledgment time (dic24_acknowledged_at) are saved to the SFST worksheet row.
Read-only after closeout — once a worksheet is closed and the DIC-24 has been acknowledged, the record is locked. Officers can still read or play the warning for reference.
Included in case export — DIC-24 acknowledgment (language, timestamp) appears in the SFST section of the unified case PDF.
The DIC-24 statutory text should be verified against the current official Texas DPS DIC-24 form before use by any agency. This is a reference aid for field documentation purposes only.

Miranda Warning Documentation

Miranda administered, recorded, and timestamped — all on one screen.

The Miranda module lets officers administer Miranda rights with TTS audio support in English or Spanish. The entire workflow — intake, warning text, playback, timestamp recording, notes, and export — happens on a single screen. Every event captures the exact wording used and an immutable legal timestamp.

Single-screen workflow — officers enter a case number, see the warning text immediately, play it aloud, tap “Miranda Warning Given” to record the timestamp, add notes, and export — all without navigating away.
Department-customizable wording — department admins can set custom English and Spanish Miranda wording through the web admin portal. Custom wording is applied automatically for all officers in the department.
Immutable text snapshot — the exact warning text used at the time of each event is permanently stored in the record, regardless of any future changes to department wording.
Legal timestamp — the “Miranda Warning Given” button atomically inserts the record with miranda_given_at set at the moment of the tap. The timestamp cannot be retroactively altered.
Bilingual TTS audio — Play and Stop controls in English or Spanish. System default voice used for reliability across all devices.
Shortcut from SFST and case analysis — a “Give Miranda Warning” button on the SFST summary and case analysis screens launches the Miranda workflow with the case number pre-filled.
Officer notes — after the warning is given, officers can record notes related to the event. Notes are saved to the Miranda record.
Included in case export — Miranda records (language, wording source, timestamp, notes) appear in the unified case PDF, linked by case number.
Miranda documentation in LEOnidas is a field record-keeping aid only. It does not create a legal presumption of waiver or rights advisement. Officers should follow department policy and applicable law regarding Miranda procedures.
📤
Unified Case Export & Email

One case packet. All linked records. Exportable from the field.

When a case is ready, officers can export a single PDF that combines every linked record — criminal law analysis, SFST worksheet results, DIC-24 acknowledgment, and Miranda documentation — into one organized document. It can be shared via the OS share sheet or delivered by branded email directly from the platform.

Unified case PDF — one export contains: case header, each analysis entry (scenario, possible offenses, elements, case law, cautions, sources), SFST worksheet results with DIC-24 record, and Miranda event records.
Case-number linking — SFST worksheets and Miranda events are matched to the case by linked UUID or case number, so all relevant records are included automatically.
Branded email delivery — reports are emailed from reports@leonidas.app via the platform. No device mail account required. Officers see the full recipient list before sending.
Department recipient rules — admins configure email rules that automatically add department recipients to exported reports by offense category, officer, or department-wide. Officers can add ad-hoc recipients at the time of send.
Share sheet export — the PDF can also be shared via the OS share sheet (AirDrop, Files, messaging apps) for maximum flexibility.
Export logging — each export is logged to the platform with timestamp, send method, recipient list, and case reference for audit and usage tracking.

Department Admin Portal

Department-level control over officers, cases, and workflows.

The web-based admin portal gives department supervisors and administrators full visibility and control over their LEOnidas deployment — officer accounts, case review, Miranda wording, email rules, and usage data — without needing direct access to the mobile app.

Officer account management — create accounts, approve access, assign roles (officer / department admin), deactivate accounts, reset passwords, and unlock accounts after failed login attempts.
Department roster — view all officers with role, status, and department history. Admins see only their department; platform owners see all departments.
Case review — admins can view all cases and entries within their department, including full two-phase analysis output, retrieval status, SFST links, and export history.
Custom Miranda wording — admins set department-specific English and Spanish Miranda warning text. Custom wording is applied automatically for all officers. The built-in default is always available as a reference and fallback.
Email recipient rules — configure department-wide, offense-category-specific, or officer-specific email rules that automatically route exported reports to the right recipients.
Usage tracking — view analysis counts, export counts, and activity by month for your department, supporting oversight and deployment decisions.
Web-based case creation — supervisors and admins can create new cases and initiate analysis directly from the web portal, without the mobile app.
Individual Officers

Also available for individual Texas peace officers.

LEOnidas is primarily designed for department-level deployment, but individual Texas peace officers whose agencies are not yet onboarded can also request access. Individual accounts work the same as department officer accounts — the platform features are identical, though department-level admin controls and custom Miranda wording are not available without a department account.

All access — individual or department — requires authorization. LEOnidas is for Texas law enforcement use only.
